We are happy to accept returns and exchanges pursuant to the items below:
Items to be returned must be accompanied by a receipt (email or copy of a text from a mobile processor will be accepted).
For an item to be eligible to be returned, it must be in its original condition.
For Yarn, this means the tag and ties (the strings keeping the skeins orderly) are still attached and the yarn has not been wound or re-skeined. This means that any yarn that is requested to be wound before shipping will be ineligible for a refund.
For Spinning Fiber, this will vary. Braided fiber must be in the original braid. Bagged fiber will need to be in the original bag.
Schrödinger's products (Bags, Boxes, Etc) are final sale only and ineligible for refunds, returns, or exchanges.
We are unable to accept returns on any yarn that has other animal fiber on it or has a noticeable fragrance (perfume, smoke, etc.).
Returns within 60 days of purchase will have the amount of the original purchase less shipping refunded in the same method of payment, with some exceptions. If your original method of payment is not available or for cash transactions, the amount of the refund will be refunded via check less the cost of shipping said check.

If you believe your purchase is defective please contact us immediately and we will evaluate the situation on a case by case basis. Items found to be defective will be exchanged based on product availability. We cannot guarantee that all colors and collections will be available at all times, additionally we cannot guarantee exchanged items will be a color match. If a suitable equal cannot be found, store credit will be issued in the amount of the original purchase, less shipping. If an original purchase receipt is not available for a defective item, valuation will be based on the lowest sales price in the last year.
Please note that we are only able to accept returns and exchanges of products purchased directly from The Fiberists at a show or through our online store. Purchases made through our retail partners or trunk shows are ineligible for a refund, please contact the original retailer for their return policies.
